No-one should be forced to choose between having food to eat and being warm and comfortable in their own home. Sadly, and all too often, this is the choice that some of the poorest and most vulnerable people face… so how can we alleviate the some of the burden of financial pressures for residents so they can heat and eat?
We throw away enough heat to fulfill our total demand in heating, if only we could move the heat from where it is wasted to where it is needed.
Many building owners are challenged with either upgrading existing community heating systems or converting buildings with gas or electricity. It may still be the case that some residents remain wary and sceptical about community district heating schemes; especially when they will be contractually tied into one supplier.
Brexit and the transition of a new Prime Minister is likely to play a major part in the movement of UK economics. In the next few years it could have a major effect on legislation and regulations… But what does it mean for the Heat Network Regulations?
It goes without saying that residents want a reliable heating system that will heat their home whenever they need it and for the right price. After all, 60 per cent of a household's yearly energy bills is heating.
