- / BEIS launches Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) Demonstrator
This week (20th September 2021) BEIS announced the launch of the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) Demonstrator. The scheme will deploy funding to improve performance of existing District and Communal networks.
It is a £4.175 million grant scheme for the 2021-22 financial year. It will support performance uplifts to existing heat network or communal heating projects where outcomes for customers and operators are sub-optimal.
How can it support your schemes?
Many heat networks across the UK are not performing as desired and efficiency levels are low. If any of your schemes fall into this category we can help with your application for funding, surveys, remedial works and actions required on under-performing heat networks.
We have had success through our Optimise solution in increasing efficiency, reducing carbon and maintenance costs. Contact us today on marketing@switch2.co.uk if you would like to set up an exploratory call with one of our experts.

We held a webinar with BEIS last week where they presented an outline of the HNES. Watch the recording here.
